Nail extensions are one of the most requested salon services, and one of the quickest beauty skills to start earning from. Here is what to expect from a nail extension course.
How long does it take?
You can learn the basics of gel and acrylic extensions in about a week. To work confidently with clients, including refills, removals and a range of nail art, most students choose a 15 to 30 day course.
- Basic Nail Course (7 days): tools, nail types, gel and acrylic extensions, chrome and basic art.
- Advance Nail Course (15 days): adds ombre, marble, French, spider gel, 3D and brush art.
- Professional Nail Course (30 days): nail anatomy, premium manicures, extensions and 15+ art techniques, plus client communication.
What a good syllabus covers
Nail anatomy and hygiene, nail prep, gel and acrylic application, curing under UV/LED lamps, refills, safe removal, filing and blending, and design work. Practice should start on dummy hands and move to real clients.
Career scope
Trained nail technicians work in salons and nail bars, offer home services, or open their own nail studios. Wedding and festive seasons bring extra demand for bridal and party nails.
Getting certified
At The Monsha's, students receive the Professional Nail Technician certificate after passing theory and practical tests.
